Role Of Dashmansh In Vedic Astrology Written By Vishal Aksh

Part (A)

More About Dashmansh
(This post written by me Published in my facebook group on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 and link for it is given below:

On Thursday, May 15, 2014 in one of my facebook group I replied on a group member’s post containing a question about how to use Dashmansh Chart. After some time, I made a separate article, More About Dashmansh based on the replies given by me about the use of Dashmansh Chart on that post. This article, More About Dashmansh written by me then posted to my group on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Now for the benefit of all, entire article, More About Dashmansh written by me is also reproduced below:

In Vedic astrology D10 chart is the most widely used chart after D9 chart. For the benefit of learner and researchers of Vedic astrology I am writing below some of its applications:

(1)     If any one looks at the construction of this D10 chart then he will find there are 10 dashmansh of 3 degrees each in one sign of 30 degrees

That means in entire zodiac there are:

12 × 10 = 120 dashmansh and this figure of 120 is in agreement with the number of years alloated to Vinshottri dasha and so it becomes very useful chart

(2)    In odd signs its counting starts from that sign itself and in even signs its counting starts from 9th sign from that sign

(3)     This D10 chart is used to judge the Mahatphala of any person and here Mahatphala is very important thing related to one's life. Nowadays it is career and profession and so it is used to judge career and professional prospects in one's horoscope.

(4)    Other very useful thing about this is that it indicates one's professional relationship with the person outside his family members

(5)     In natural state this Dashmansh chart gives the indications about one's career and professional prospects

(6)    In any horoscope under judgement find the lord of Dashmansh Lagna

(6.1) If this lord is found afflicted in Chalit Chakra then it gives tensions and rough atmosphere in one's profession

(6.2) If Dashmansh lagna lord is afflicted / combust in 6th, 8th or 12th bhava then one is likely to suffer from career setback

(6.3) This happens in the mahadasha of lord of Dashmansh lagna.

(7)     If Dashmansh lagna lord forms any Mahapurush yoga in one's horoscope then the Mahapurush yoga will operate in his life in terms of professional sphere mainly in the Mahadasha of lord of Dashmansh lagna

(8)     If Dashmansh lagna lord forms a Mahapurush yoga in main chart then in transit when Jupiter transits over Dashmansh lagna lord in main chart or 5th, 7th or 9th from it one may get promotions or professional success in that transit of Jupiter

(9)    If the D10 lagna lord is in 6th, 8th or 12th bhava in its own or Mool trikona sign then it will be vipreet rajyoga in terms of profession

(10)                   Calculate the dashmansh of Dasham Bhava Madhya and note that sign if that sign in one's D10 chart is occupied by its lord then in the Mahadasha of that planet one will get career betterment and professional success and this is very useful and this is my research.

(11) In my experience of about 25 years in the field of Vedic astrology I have found this chart effective in giving the indications about all prospects of one's life but for that more calculations will have to be performed to make this chart fit for predicting other events. Astrologers having experience and inner depth in the field of Vedic astrology can understand this.

Part (B)

How To Construct Dashmansh Chart?

(1)    This chart is very simple to construct and it can be prepared even mentally by viewing the longitudes of planets and lagna.

(2)                        For the planets in odd signs the counting should be started by the sign itself and those occupying even sign the counting should be done from the 9th signs from the signs occupied by them.

More About Divisional Charts

Part (A)
Existence Of Divisional Charts In Indian Astrology
(This article was written by me on the timeline of my facebook on Friday, October 18, 2013 and the link for that:

It is a very controversial question among Indian astrologers about the existence of divisional charts in Vedic astrology. There is difference in opinions concerning the existence of divisional charts in Indian astrology. There are some astrologers having opinion that the only the divisions of राशी as per षोङषवर्ग scheme given in बृहत्पाराशरहोराशास्त्रम् is applicable and there is no mention about divisional charts based on this scheme. According to these astrologers these divisional charts are newly invented and introduced to Indian astrology. There are other astrologers who use these divisional charts for predictive purposes but they take these charts as latest introduction to Indian astrology.

But the fact is totally different. In the same बृहत्पाराशरहोराशास्त्रम् it is also written:
अथ षोङषवर्गेषु चिंतालग्नं वदाम्यहम्
The aforesaid Sanskrit sentence is the dialogue spoken by the great पाराशर, thousands of years before to his शिष्य मैत्रेय while teaching him होराशास्त्र. The meaning of the aforesaid Sanskrit sentence is, NOW IT IS SAID THAT IN THIS षोङषवर्ग WHICH वर्ग LAGNA SHOULD BE USED TO ANALYSE WHICH ASPECT. This is clear from this sentence that great पाराशर in his बृहत्पाराशरहोराशास्त्रम् directs to consider the lagna of each and every वर्ग in षोङषवर्ग scheme in addition to षोङषवर्ग divisions.

When lagna are allotted to various वर्ग of षोङषवर्ग then next राशी to lagna will become 2nd house and so on. Thus in this way divisional horoscopes are prepared. So it is clear that these divisional charts are not the invention of modern time they existed and properly used thousands of years before this modern time. Even in other classical books on Indian astrology, the use of divisional charts is clearly indicated. The following two श्लोक from a book on classical Indian astrology are written here for further considerations:

नवांशलग्नात्सुतपश्च सौम्यः शुभाशुभैर्युक्तविलोकितो वा ।
शुभैः सुताः स्युः प्रचुरा नरस्य क्रूरग्रहैर्पुत्रसुखञ्च न स्यात्  ।।

The meaning of aforesaid श्लोक is if in any one’s horoscope the lord 5th house from navmansh lagna is in conjunction or comes under the aspects of benefic planets or malefic then the benefic influences bless one with many sons and malefic influences on the lord of 5th from navmansh lagna do not give one happiness on account of his sons.
In the above श्लोक the importance of navmansh chart, which is a divisional chart is clearly shown. In this श्लोक not only the lord of 5th from a divisional chart navmansh is taken for prediction but also the aspects falling over it in navmansh are also taken into consideration for predictive purposes. From aforesaid श्लोक it is clear that navmansh chart should be judges as the main chart is judged. The position, conjunctions and aspects should be considered in navmansh chart too.
The second श्लोक is as follows:

त्रिशांशादष्टमस्थानाधिपे सोम्ये शुभेक्षिते ।
शुभे त्रिशांशके मृत्युः शोभनो नो विपर्यये ।।

The meaning of above श्लोक is that if in one’s Trishmansh chart the benefic lord of 8th from his Trishmansh lagna comes in conjunction with benefic planet or receives aspect from benefic planet then one’s death will be under auspicious situations and if lord of 8th in Trishmansh chart is malefic or under the aspect of malefic the one will have painful death in an inauspicious situations.

In above श्लोक the Trishmansh chart is directed in analyzing miseries in one’s life. In this Trishmansh chart too lord of house from its lagna along with conjunction of planets and the aspects of planets are also directed to consider for predictive purposes.

From above it becomes clear that the concept of divisional charts in Indian astrology is as ancient as the concept of षोङषवर्ग scheme. It is not a modern concept.

Part (B)
The Use Of Divisional Charts In Indian Astrology
(This article was written by me on the timeline of my facebook on Thursday January 2, 2014 and the link for that:

In Indian astrology to know specific events in life rashi chart is analyzed in addition to divisional charts. For the fulfillment of prediction in full measure the practical use of divisional chart is essential.

There are more than 19 divisional charts in Indian astrology out of them 19 divisional charts have been used by astrologers frequently. Among 19 divisional charts 16 charts have been found in Indian ancient classical astrology written thousands & thousands years before and rest of them were introduced by modern exponents of Indian astrology.

The group of 16 divisional charts is known as षोडश वर्ग.

I have found this chart suitable for people who take risk such as entrepreneurs, for them taking major decisions of life such as decision to change jobs etc. This chart is not effectively used. It is used as supportive chart.

(5)     सप्तांश : This chart is directed to judge about all the events concerning children.

(7)    दशमांश : This chart is directed to judge the महत्फल i.e. the major thing concerning life. Now a day the major thing concerning life is only profession. Like नवमांश this chart is also widely used.

(8)      द्वादशांश : This chart is directed to judge all the events concerning parents.

(9)     षोडशांश : This chart is directed to judge the vehicles and comforts. I have found this chart also gives information about assets.

(13) त्रिंशांश : This chart is directed to judge about miseries in life.

(14) खवेदांश : This chart is directed to judge the auspicious and inauspicious results. I have found this chart gives information about doing welfare of others, emotionally linking with others and hearing of inner voice and good events with tears of devotion in eyes.

(15) अक्षवेदांश : All events of life.

(16) षष्ठयंश : All events of life.

The other divisional charts not included in this षोडश वर्ग are (17) D6 chart for the judgment of diseases, (18) D8 chart for the term of life in this world, (19) D11 for monetary gains with no pains and (20) Panchmansh for the judgement of philosophical knowledge and spirituality.

In my experience in the field of astrology I have found except होरा chart under specific conditions each divisional chart gives information about all prospects of life. Persons with deep knowledge of astrology can understand this.

More About Vipreet Rajyog

Part (1)

Vipreet Rajyog

In Indian astrology vipreetrajyog is mentioned. Its definition has been given as when in any horoscope the lord of any evil house is in any evil house then this yog is termed as vipreet rajyog. In Indian astrology 6th, 8th & 12 houses are treated as evil houses.

This is considered to be a very powerful yog. Before giving its good effects, this yog makes the entire atmosphere tense & polluted.

This yog works on a principal that when two negative quantities are multiplied the result will be a positive quantity. In this vipreet rajyog these evil houses have negative effects when any lord of these houses occupies any one of evil houses having same negative effects then the resultant effect will be a positive development and there will be auspicious results. But before this these evil houses also give their effects in the form of hurdles, disappointments & mental dejection.

When in any horoscope the 6th lord is placed in 6th, 8th or 12th houses then this type of vipreet raj yog is termed as Harshyog. This type of yog generally blesses one with comforts, enjoyments, fortunes and a stout body. Anyone having this harshyog in his horoscope overpowers his enemies and never commits sinful acts. He has a friend circle of very prominent people. He is blessed with wealth, fame & friends.

When in any horoscope the lord of 8th occupies any one of 6th, 8th or 12th houses then this vipreetrajyog yog is Saralyog. In general this Saralyog makes one respected, learned & wealthy. He will be successful in all his enterprises, overcome his enemies & and widely celebrated.

When in any horoscope lord of 12th house occupies any one of 6th, 8th or 12th houses then this resulting vipreetrajyog is termed as Vimalyog. One having this vimalyog in his horoscope spends less than his earnings & savings. His actions are identical with the thinking of others. He lives in comforts and is independent and pursues a respectable occupation and well known for his merits.

In my experience of many years in the field of astrology I found this vipreetrajyog working in divisional charts such as Navmansh, Dashmansh & Siddhansh etc too. Here this yog works according to the nature of these charts. In Dashmansh charts this vipreetrajyog gives a very big professional success in a polluted atmosphere after hurdles. In Siddhansh chart this vipreetrajyog gives academic success in a polluted atmosphere after hurdles, disappointments & dejection.

Part (02)
Other Conditions Essential For Vipreet Rajyoga

Most of the people generally ask me about vipreet rajyog. Besides the astrological definition about this yoga given in Vedic astrology there are other factors too making this yoga practically defunct and in such conditions all written about this yoga regarding tough atmosphere, failures & insults fully manifest but the person cannot get success. Thus in these yoga too position of Moon play a vital role though in classical definition of there is no mention about the position of Moon in these yoga.

Now I am describing the role of Moon in the manifestation of these vipreet rajyog. In human body all of his senses are governed by an invisible agency called मन and this मन has three stages (1) सात्विक (2) राजसिक (3) तामसिक.

A person with सात्विक मन has the power of truth that is why he never deviates himself from the right way even though under polluted circumstances.

A person with राजसिक मन displays both qualities of मन such as सात्विक and तामसिक. Sometimes he becomes truthful and sometimes he deviates himself from the right way. So person with more सात्विक qualities in राजसिक मन find, themselves able to withstand the polluted atmosphere after getting some failures. They purify their मन under tough and adverse phase. Person with राजसिक मन with more तामसिक qualities though display truthfulness but only in prosperity but as soon as negative and tough phase of their life starts they deviate themselves from the right way and start the wrong way to fulfill their needs. So person with राजसिक मन may or may not be on the right way under tough situations.

But person with तामसिक मन are always miles away from truth and right way. Weather they are in good phase or tough phase they do not follow truth. So they too can not withstand tough phase of life.

In this कलियुग it is difficult to find person of सात्विक मन. Person with राजसिक मन are found in lesser quantity and person of राजसिक मन with more सात्विक qualities are treated as person of सात्विक मन and person with तामसिक मन are found in abundance.

Combining the three state of मन with tough and adverse situations it become clear that person with सात्विक मन and person with राजसिक मन with more सात्विक, qualities can withstand tough and adverse phase of life.

In vipreet rajyoga tough and adverse phase of life occurs. This tough & adverse phase of life can be won over by person with सात्विक मन and person with राजसिक मन with more सात्विक qualities. These types of person enjoy vipreet rajyoga. In Vedic astrology Moon represents मन. Jupiter represents सात्विक मन, Mercury and Venus represent राजसिक मन and Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu represents तामसिक मन.

Under following conditions vipreet rajyoga present in horoscope are operative:

(1) From above becomes clear that person with मनोबल can enjoy the vipreet rajyoga present in horoscope.

(2) Person having strong Moon under benefic influence of Jupiter, Mercury or Venus and strong lord of ascendant lord can enjoy the vipreet rajyoga present in their horoscopes.

Under following conditions vipreet rajyoga present in horoscope become defunct:

(1) Person having depression, doubts, ill will and those fulfilling their self interest by telling lies about themselves cannot enjoy vipreet rajyog even it present in their horoscopes.

(2) Person having weak, afflicted Moon under the influence of Saturn, Rahu or Ketu and lord of Lagna weak cannot enjoy vipreet rajyog present in their horoscopes.

The planets forming vipreet rajyoga in rashi chart will become incapable to form vipreet rajyoga if there is shifting of these planets in chalit chakra from one house to other bhava.

Part (03)
Cancellation of Vipreet Rajyog

The lord of evil house (6th, 8thor 12th) in any of evil houses (6th, 8thor 12th) constitutes Vipreet Rajyog. This gives success in adverse conditions.

But sometimes situation becomes very interesting as in following three cases:

(1) Lord of 6th house in 8th house and lord of 8th in 6th house

(2) Lord of 6th house in 12th house and lord of 12th in 6th house

(3) Lord of 8th house in 12th house and lord of 12th in 8th house

If common sense is applied to the aforesaid three conditions than anyone can understand that these are the conditions of powerful Vipreet rajyog. Even some experts also consider these conditions as powerful Vipreet rajyog.

But in actual practice it is not so. These conditions or even one of them if found in any horoscope result in the cancellation of Vipreet Rajyog. These are the most malefic conditions and their results are more or less similar to that of kemdrum yoga.

In other words, if in any horoscope the cancellation of Vipreet Rajyoga occurs than this situation is known as Dainya Yog. In classical Indian astrology the Dainya yog is defined as the person having this yoga in his horoscope is stupid, always criticizes others, does sinful actions, always hurts the feelings of others by his speech and his mind is unstable. Whatever he ventures it is full of hurdles.

In my long experience in the field of Indian astrology I have found these Dainya yoga also work if they are present in chaturthansh, navmansh, dashmansh and Bhansh charts in addition to rashi chart.

(1) If this Dainya yoga are present in chaturthansh chart of any person than that person takes undue risks and suffers losses.

(2) If this Dainya yoga is present in dashmansh chart of any person than he always criticizes his seniors and employers, disobeys them and he never fulfills his duties at professional levels. He suffers from setback in his career.

(3) If this Dainya yog is present in the Bhansh chart of any person than this person never mixes up in society he always criticizes others and he becomes insignificant in the eyes of other person.
