More About Vipreet Rajyog

Part (1)

Vipreet Rajyog

In Indian astrology vipreetrajyog is mentioned. Its definition has been given as when in any horoscope the lord of any evil house is in any evil house then this yog is termed as vipreet rajyog. In Indian astrology 6th, 8th & 12 houses are treated as evil houses.

This is considered to be a very powerful yog. Before giving its good effects, this yog makes the entire atmosphere tense & polluted.

This yog works on a principal that when two negative quantities are multiplied the result will be a positive quantity. In this vipreet rajyog these evil houses have negative effects when any lord of these houses occupies any one of evil houses having same negative effects then the resultant effect will be a positive development and there will be auspicious results. But before this these evil houses also give their effects in the form of hurdles, disappointments & mental dejection.

When in any horoscope the 6th lord is placed in 6th, 8th or 12th houses then this type of vipreet raj yog is termed as Harshyog. This type of yog generally blesses one with comforts, enjoyments, fortunes and a stout body. Anyone having this harshyog in his horoscope overpowers his enemies and never commits sinful acts. He has a friend circle of very prominent people. He is blessed with wealth, fame & friends.

When in any horoscope the lord of 8th occupies any one of 6th, 8th or 12th houses then this vipreetrajyog yog is Saralyog. In general this Saralyog makes one respected, learned & wealthy. He will be successful in all his enterprises, overcome his enemies & and widely celebrated.

When in any horoscope lord of 12th house occupies any one of 6th, 8th or 12th houses then this resulting vipreetrajyog is termed as Vimalyog. One having this vimalyog in his horoscope spends less than his earnings & savings. His actions are identical with the thinking of others. He lives in comforts and is independent and pursues a respectable occupation and well known for his merits.

In my experience of many years in the field of astrology I found this vipreetrajyog working in divisional charts such as Navmansh, Dashmansh & Siddhansh etc too. Here this yog works according to the nature of these charts. In Dashmansh charts this vipreetrajyog gives a very big professional success in a polluted atmosphere after hurdles. In Siddhansh chart this vipreetrajyog gives academic success in a polluted atmosphere after hurdles, disappointments & dejection.

Part (02)
Other Conditions Essential For Vipreet Rajyoga

Most of the people generally ask me about vipreet rajyog. Besides the astrological definition about this yoga given in Vedic astrology there are other factors too making this yoga practically defunct and in such conditions all written about this yoga regarding tough atmosphere, failures & insults fully manifest but the person cannot get success. Thus in these yoga too position of Moon play a vital role though in classical definition of there is no mention about the position of Moon in these yoga.

Now I am describing the role of Moon in the manifestation of these vipreet rajyog. In human body all of his senses are governed by an invisible agency called मन and this मन has three stages (1) सात्विक (2) राजसिक (3) तामसिक.

A person with सात्विक मन has the power of truth that is why he never deviates himself from the right way even though under polluted circumstances.

A person with राजसिक मन displays both qualities of मन such as सात्विक and तामसिक. Sometimes he becomes truthful and sometimes he deviates himself from the right way. So person with more सात्विक qualities in राजसिक मन find, themselves able to withstand the polluted atmosphere after getting some failures. They purify their मन under tough and adverse phase. Person with राजसिक मन with more तामसिक qualities though display truthfulness but only in prosperity but as soon as negative and tough phase of their life starts they deviate themselves from the right way and start the wrong way to fulfill their needs. So person with राजसिक मन may or may not be on the right way under tough situations.

But person with तामसिक मन are always miles away from truth and right way. Weather they are in good phase or tough phase they do not follow truth. So they too can not withstand tough phase of life.

In this कलियुग it is difficult to find person of सात्विक मन. Person with राजसिक मन are found in lesser quantity and person of राजसिक मन with more सात्विक qualities are treated as person of सात्विक मन and person with तामसिक मन are found in abundance.

Combining the three state of मन with tough and adverse situations it become clear that person with सात्विक मन and person with राजसिक मन with more सात्विक, qualities can withstand tough and adverse phase of life.

In vipreet rajyoga tough and adverse phase of life occurs. This tough & adverse phase of life can be won over by person with सात्विक मन and person with राजसिक मन with more सात्विक qualities. These types of person enjoy vipreet rajyoga. In Vedic astrology Moon represents मन. Jupiter represents सात्विक मन, Mercury and Venus represent राजसिक मन and Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu represents तामसिक मन.

Under following conditions vipreet rajyoga present in horoscope are operative:

(1) From above becomes clear that person with मनोबल can enjoy the vipreet rajyoga present in horoscope.

(2) Person having strong Moon under benefic influence of Jupiter, Mercury or Venus and strong lord of ascendant lord can enjoy the vipreet rajyoga present in their horoscopes.

Under following conditions vipreet rajyoga present in horoscope become defunct:

(1) Person having depression, doubts, ill will and those fulfilling their self interest by telling lies about themselves cannot enjoy vipreet rajyog even it present in their horoscopes.

(2) Person having weak, afflicted Moon under the influence of Saturn, Rahu or Ketu and lord of Lagna weak cannot enjoy vipreet rajyog present in their horoscopes.

The planets forming vipreet rajyoga in rashi chart will become incapable to form vipreet rajyoga if there is shifting of these planets in chalit chakra from one house to other bhava.

Part (03)
Cancellation of Vipreet Rajyog

The lord of evil house (6th, 8thor 12th) in any of evil houses (6th, 8thor 12th) constitutes Vipreet Rajyog. This gives success in adverse conditions.

But sometimes situation becomes very interesting as in following three cases:

(1) Lord of 6th house in 8th house and lord of 8th in 6th house

(2) Lord of 6th house in 12th house and lord of 12th in 6th house

(3) Lord of 8th house in 12th house and lord of 12th in 8th house

If common sense is applied to the aforesaid three conditions than anyone can understand that these are the conditions of powerful Vipreet rajyog. Even some experts also consider these conditions as powerful Vipreet rajyog.

But in actual practice it is not so. These conditions or even one of them if found in any horoscope result in the cancellation of Vipreet Rajyog. These are the most malefic conditions and their results are more or less similar to that of kemdrum yoga.

In other words, if in any horoscope the cancellation of Vipreet Rajyoga occurs than this situation is known as Dainya Yog. In classical Indian astrology the Dainya yog is defined as the person having this yoga in his horoscope is stupid, always criticizes others, does sinful actions, always hurts the feelings of others by his speech and his mind is unstable. Whatever he ventures it is full of hurdles.

In my long experience in the field of Indian astrology I have found these Dainya yoga also work if they are present in chaturthansh, navmansh, dashmansh and Bhansh charts in addition to rashi chart.

(1) If this Dainya yoga are present in chaturthansh chart of any person than that person takes undue risks and suffers losses.

(2) If this Dainya yoga is present in dashmansh chart of any person than he always criticizes his seniors and employers, disobeys them and he never fulfills his duties at professional levels. He suffers from setback in his career.

(3) If this Dainya yog is present in the Bhansh chart of any person than this person never mixes up in society he always criticizes others and he becomes insignificant in the eyes of other person.

Hora Chart

In classical Vedic astrology this hora chart finds 2nd place just after rashi chart in षोङषवर्ग (Shodashvarga) scheme. It is the division of a राशी (Rashi =Sign) of 30o into two equal parts of 15deg. each. So a राशी (Rashi =Sign) consists of 2 horas of 15deg. each. Thus in 12 राशी (Rashi =Signs) the total number of horas will be 12*2 = 24 horas. In Indian astrology a day consists of 24 horas perhaps that is why, division in 24 parts of a zodiac of 360deg. is known as hora chart in Indian astrology.

This chart is very easy to construct. It may be constructed mentally. All the राशी (Rashi =Sign)are divided into two groups:

(1) Odd number group:  मेष (Mesha = Aries), मिथुन (Mithuna = Gemini), सिंह (Simha = Leo), तुला (Tula = Libra), धनु (Dhanu = Sagittarius) & कुंभ (Kumbh = Aquarius) come under this group.
(2) Even number group: वृष (Vrish = Taurus), कर्क (Karka =Cancer), कन्या (Kanya = Virgo), वृश्चिक (Vrischika = Scorpio), मकर (Makar = Capricorn) & मीन (Meena =Pisces) come under this group.

So first 15deg. of the राशी(Rashi =Sign) come under Odd number group is ruled by Sun & next 15deg. is ruled by Moon. Planets occupying first 15deg. in odd राशी(Rashi =Sign) come under solar hora and planets occupying 15deg. to 30deg. of odd राशी (Rashi =Sign) come under lunar hora.

The first 15deg. of the राशी come under Even number group is ruled by Moon & next 15deg. is ruled by Sun. The planets occupying first 15deg. of even राशी(Rashi =Sign)  come under lunar hora and planets occupying 15deg. to 30deg. of even राशी  (Rashi =Sign) come under solar hora.

Planets in solar horas are said to occupy सिंह राशी (Leo) in hora chakra and those occupying lunar horas are said to occupy कर्क राशी (Cancer) in hora chakra. Furthermore in hora chakra the solar hora is ruled by देवता (Devata) and lunar hora by पितर (Piter).

The prospect of wealth is judged from this chart. The immovable property such as land & building and movable property such as gold, silver & currency are to be judged from this hora chakra.

Apart of being its simplicity to construct this hora chakra has never been used for predictive purposes. Not a single astrologer made use of this chart for predictions.

This hora chakra is also put to use to judge one’s actions synchronizing with his thinking. This is very interesting. In this world we see the dualism. A coin has two faces, a person either speaks truth or false, a cup may be filled or empty, a cup of tea may be hot or cooled, on a particular moment there may be day or night and the actions of a person according to his instinct may be practical or theoretical.

Person with practical approach instinct do important deeds, they earn wealth by the dint of hard work and become wealthy. Their practical approach makes them dominating. They display energy that is why they have bright appearance. They are hard workers and understand the dignity of labor.
In astrology all malefic planets such as Sun, Mars & Saturn denote hard work and when in any horoscope these planets are found occupying solar hora in odd signs then that person is of very practical approach, does important deeds, energetic, very much powerful, earns wealth by the dint of his hard work and he gets fame too.

Person with theoretical approach works on mental plane. They want live in comfort, they possess good qualities, their speech is very sweet that is why, they are liked by all and they are very creative and well understand the emotions of others.
In astrology benefic planets such as Moon, Mercury, Jupiter & Venus denote working on mental plane and creativity. Such benefic planets when occupy lunar hora in even sign make that person very intelligent, intended to live in comforts, gentle, of sweet speech and polite in behavior. Because of this he is liked by all.

This hora chakra is also used to judge whether the person will live in his own country or abroad:
If in rashi chart the solar hora comes under the aspect of benefic planets the person will live in his own country generally.
If in rashi chart the lunar hora comes under the aspects of benefic planets then the person will live abroad and there he will be prosperous.
If the referred to above do not come under the benefic aspect of planets then the above results will never apply.

For the judgment of the wealth of a person from this hora chakra the following rules are given in Indian astrology:
If lord of hora occupies any quadrant in rashi chart and comes under the benefic aspects of planets the person gets pearls etc and will possess gold.
If in such position lord of hora in rashi chart comes under the aspects of malefic planets then the person has iron, asses & buffalos.

There is another use of this hora chakra. It is also used to judge the effect of aspects falling on Moon:
If in any horoscope Moon receives aspect of a planet then the effect of the aspect will be benefic if the aspecting planet occupies the same hora as occupied by Moon in hora chakra.

This hora chakra has extensive field of research and it should be used for predictions.

More About Trishansh

Part (A)

(1.1)          This is the most important but lesser used chart today in Vedic astrology. This is the only chart described in classical Vedic astrology which is not regular in order in addition to Hora chart. It is cast in a very different way.

(1.2)          If anyone looks at the way in which it this Trishansh chart is cast he will be surprised at the allotment of various uneven degrees to cast this chart.

(1.3)          Trishansh is a Sanskrit word which means 30th part but if the way to cast this Trishansh chart is looked at then one can easily find that in actual form one Trishansh = 30/30 degrees = 1 deg and so there will be 30 Trishansh in a rashi but in fact it is not so. Here the drawing of this Trishmansh Chart starts with the Odd and even signs.

(1.4)          In Odd signs:

(1.41)       Planets in 0 to 5 degs. In odd signs fall in the trishansh of Mesh rashi

(1.42)       Planets in 5 to 10 degs. In odd signs fall in the trishansh of Kumbh rashi

(1.43)       Planets in 10 to 18 degs. In odd signs fall in the trishansh of Dhanur rashi

(1.44)       Planets in 18 to 25 degs. In odd signs fall in the trishansh of Mithuna rashi

(1.45)       Planets in 25 to 30 degs. In odd signs fall in the trishansh of Tula rashi

(1.5)          In even Signs:

(1.51)       Planets in 0 to 5 degs. In Even signs fall in the trishansh of Vrish rashi

(1.52)       Planets in 5 to 12 degs. In Even signs fall in the trishansh of Kanya rashi

(1.53)       Planets in 12 to 20 degs. In Even signs fall in the trishansh of Meen rashi

(1.54)       Planets in 20 to 25 degs. In Even signs fall in the trishansh of Makar rashi

(1.55)       Planets in 25 to 30 degs. In Even signs fall in the trishansh of Vrischika rashi

(1.6)          Some facts about Trishansh come out from what is described under (1.4) to (1.55) i.e. (1.61) in odd signs the distribution of degrees is uneven i.e. 0 to 5, 5 to 10, 10 to 18, 18 to 25 & 25 to 30 and also (1.62) the distribution of degrees is also uneven i.e. 0 to 5, 5 to 12, 12 to 20, 20 to 25 and from 25 to 30. (1.63) The pattern of distribution of degrees both in odd signs and in even signs differs from each other. (1.64) Simh rashi and Kark rashi in this Trishansh chart find no place in giving rooms to planets. (1.65) in this Trishansh each Trishansh is not equal to 1 degree. (1.66) Each division in this chart contains a band of degrees so it appears Panchansh not Trishansh.

(1.7)          There are two ways described in classical Vedic astrology in which this Trisansh can be put to use:

(1.71)       The way to use this Trishansh chart as described in Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra

(1.72)       The way to use this Trishansh chart as described in Brihit Jataka

(1.8)          In Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra this Trishansh chart is directed to use to judge the diseases and miseries in one’s life. It is written under (1.64) that Simh rashi ruled by Sun and Kark rashi ruled by Moon in this Trishansh chart find no place in giving rooms to planets. Here Sun represents the aatma and this aatma gives one the inspiration and Moon is the mana (Mind?) and this mana motivates one. Diseases and miseries in one’s life occur when inspiration stops working and functioning of mana becomes disturbed that is why this Trishansh chart is used to judge the miseries in one’s life.

(1.9)          The occurrences of miseries and tragedies in one’s life are nothing but the unexpected turns on unknown roads ( Without the influence of Simh rashi ruled by Sun and the giver of inspiration and that of Kark rashi ruled by Moon the giver of the presence of mind even a known way becomes unknown) and thus this Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra is used to judge miseries in one’s life.

(1.10)       In Brihit Jataka this chart is directed to use to judge purity and mental disposition in case of female and some general results depending on the Kaarkatwa of planets.

Part (B)

(2.1)          In my years of experience in the field of Vedic astrology I have found that the way to use this chart given in Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastrais only right and works well almost all the cases and the judgment of this Trishansh chart as per Brihit Jataka has many limitations.

(2.2)          See the planets occupying 6th, 8th & 12th houses in this Trishansh chart and these planets generally bring miseries such as diseases & accidents in one’s life in their Dasha / Antardasha.

(2.3)          See the lord of Trishansh Lagna in one’s horoscope and check its position in Chalit – Chakra and if it is associated with malefic planet / planets and occupies 6th, 8th or 12th bhava then that person suffers the displeasure of the government and other authorities.

(2.4)          In Trishansh chart, among 6th, 8th & 12th houses the 8th house is the most malefic house.

(2.5)          If in one’s Trishansh chart Moon is found in 1st, 6th, 7th, 8th or 12th house then that person suffers on account of diseases, accidents and other miseries during the period of Sade-Sati.

Part (C)

(3.1)          As described under (1.66) Each division in this chart contains a band of degrees so it appears Panchansh not Trishansh but why it is termed as Trishansh in classical Vedic astrology is still unknown.

(3.2)          Perhaps because in this chart the entire 30 degrees are distributed in unequal bands of degrees and thus it was termed as Trishansh in classical Vedic astrology.

(3.3)          There is another way to cast this Trishansh Chart but this way is not mentioned in Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra. In this type of Trishansh Chart each Trishansh is equal to 1 deg. In odd signs the counting should start with Mesh rashi onwards and it ends with Kanya rashi the 30th Trishansh in Odd signs. In Even signs counting should be made from Tula rashi onwards and it ends with Meen rashi the 30th Trishansh in even signs.

(3.4)          In my years of experience in the field of Vedic astrology I have found that this type of Trishansh Chart as effective  as the Trishansh Chart described in classical Vedic astrology.

(3.5)          Whatever have been described under (2.2), (2.4) & (2.5) about the use of Trishansh Chart described in classical Vedic astrology equally apply to this type of Trishansh Chart.

Conjunction of Mars & Venus

Last year I wrote an article “Who will be astrologer?” on the time line of my facebook and then I posted this article to various facebook groups and I also posted this article on the timeline of my page and recently I posted it to a group Astrology at Google+

In that post I have mentioned a combination that conjunction of Mara & Venus in one’s horoscope makes one good astrologer.

In that group at Google+ it was asked by the moderator of that group why the conjunction of Mars & Venus present in one’s horoscope makes one an astrologer? I replied in that group at Google+ and here I am giving below that article written by me as a reply of that question about the Mars & Venus conjunction:

First of all I want to share something from my experience of about 25 years in the field of Vedic astrology and what I understood from Vedic astrology:

(1) Vedic astrology recommends three types of results of any conjunction, aspect or situation of planets

(1.1) Results of planetary relationship affecting one physically

(1.2) Results of planetary relationship affecting one mentally

(1.3) Results of planetary relationship affecting one spiritually

The very first thing in Vedic astrology is to decide the strength of any horoscope in terms of physical, mental or spiritual levels and if any horoscope is found rich in mental strength then the malefic results expected to come out from malefic combinations such Sun & Rahu or Moon & Rahu or any other malefic combination affecting one mentally does not work.

If any horoscope under judgment is found to possess strength at spiritual level then the person concerned has a power to see something beyond the level of science or beyond his level of intelligence too and in such case malefic combinations like Sun & Rahu or Moon & Ketu gives him enlightenment.

If any horoscope under judgment is found rich at physical level only then the combination like Sun & Rahu or Moon & Rahu gives him troubles, dipression or may be problems related to eyes.
Here I mean to say that every combination displays three types of results depending on the overall strength of horoscope. So we see that different results are assigned to the same combination of planets at different levels of strength in Vedic astrology.

In year 1991 or so I came across several horoscopes in them I saw the conjunction of Mars and Venus and those people were Sages, astrologers or spiritualists and I was very much puzzled. It was my surprise when I saw this conjunction of Mars and Venus in the horoscope of world famous Indian Vedic astrologer Dr. B.V. Raman but I was surprised at that time no one talked about this combination and even that great Dr. B. V. Raman was also silent and did not talk about this conjunction and this further confused and puzzled me.

And soon I saw this combination in an ancient text on Vedic astrology and the following Sanskrit sloka about the conjunction of Mars and Venus is from that text:

गुणप्रधानो गणको द्यूतानृतरतः शठः
परदाररतो मान्यः शुक्रमंगलसंगमे
In above Sanskrit sloka:
गुणप्रधानो (Gunapradhano) = having many qualities
गणको (Ganako) = Astrologer
द्यूतानृतरतः (Dueetaanritah) = Indulge in gambling
शठः (Shatah) = Cunning
परदाररतो (Pardaarrato) = takes interest in others wife
मान्यः (Manyah) = Respected
शुक्रमंगलसंगमे (Shukra Mangal sangme) = Conjunction of Venus and Mars

Summing up the English translation of above sloka becomes:

Any person having the conjunction of Venus and Mars in his horoscope is of many qualities, astrologer, indulge in gambling, cunning, interested in others wife and respected.

I also found this conjunction of Mars & Venus working well in Divisional charts such as D9, D20 and D5

There are some more results written about this conjunction of Mars & Venus in other Vedic texts and I am giving some of them:

The person having the conjunction of Mars & Venus in his horoscope is bold in fight and is deceitful. He protects cows and he is a wrestler.

This conjunction of Mars & Venus is supposed to give different results in different houses and these results are given below:

In first House: The person having this conjunction of Mars & Venus in first house suffers from kapha, performs aimless works, unthankful and without victory.

In second house: The person having this conjunction of Mars & Venus in second house suffers in fresh air, without wisdom, tough in behavior and does not speak truth.

In sixth house: The person having conjunction of Mars & Venus in sixth house is fond of beautiful ladies, suffers defeat at the hands of his wife, sinner, of good intelligence, likes the company of wicked person and without the morals and conduct prescribed in Vedas.

In seventh house: The person having the conjunction of Mars and Venus in seventh house suffers defeat by public, poor, suffers physically in various accidents and he does not follow the law.

In eighth house: The person having this conjunction of Mars & Venus in 8th house always performs bad acts, steals others moneys by showing acts of kindness, without strength and he is stupid.

In eleventh house: The person having the conjunction of Mars & Venus in eleventh house strongly follows certain rules, gets diksha from guru, possesses all-round knowledge, enthusiastic, talented and kind hearted.

In twelfth house: The person having the conjunction of Mars & Venus in twelfth house he is without plenty of wealth, suffers at the hands of his children, he does not give donations, suffers from various diseases, inferior and unthankful.

The aforesaid results about the conjunction of Mars & Venus in various houses is applicable only when Chalit – Chakra system of house division of Vedic system is applied and these results are vey general and should be applied after judging the horoscope minutely. Learners and researchers of Vedic astrology will find these results of the conjunction of Mars & Venus very useful.

So in Vedic astrology this conjunction is supposed to give different results at different levels.

Vedic astrology depends on Vedas and Vedic literature and to know the depth of Vedic astrology the understanding of Vedas and Vedic literature is essential. Now I am explaining why this conjunction of Mars & Venus in any horoscope makes one expert astrologer:

Mars is ruled by Kaartikey the god of war and the son of lord Shiva as per Vedic literature. Kaartikey wrote a text on the knowledge of past, present and future and the psychology of person including various signs appearing on human body and his written text was rejected by lord Shiva and then accepted when lord Shiva found his written text filled with astrological knowledge. So Mars (Kaartikey) without knowledge (Jupiter or Venus) is warrior. So Mars to become astrologer he needs a support of a guru (Knowledge) and in plants Jupiter (Guru of devtas) and Venus (Guru of daanvas but respected by devtas too) are Guru and that is why Mars & Venus conjunction makes one an expert astrologer.
