Why Guru (Jupiter) Is Known As Jeeva? – An Article Written By Vishal Aksh


(1) Several times I have told you that Vedic Jyotish is based on {1} Common sense and {2} The knowledge stored in Puranas. Every Vedic Astrologer should have a vision to understand that knowledge of Puranas and apply that to understand the secrets of Vedic Jyotish. Vedic Jyotish has its roots in Vedas and Puranas are best to understand Vedas.

(2) The ancient experts of Jyotish addressed Guru (Jupiter) as Jeeva. I have seen several Vedic astrologers taking the literal meaning of Jeeva as animal and thus Jupiter signifies the entire animal kingdom as per them. It is the wonder of Sanskrit and Jyotish that each meaning of a single Sanskrit word used as a terminology of Jyotish holds good.

(2.1) As per Shivamahapurana the Shresthee Krama (Cycle of creation) on this Mrituloka (Earth) evolves due to Maithuna (Sexual intercourse) and thus in literal mean the Jeeva indicates the product after sexual intercourse between a male and a female and that is why Jupiter is also termed as Santankarka (A planet signifying offspring). But that maithuni Shreesthi was not possible without Shukra (sperm) and the other Guru of Daitya (Devils) Shukra presides over Shukra (Sperm) and sexual intercourse between a male and a female. On this ground it may be considered that the Jeeva (Jupiter) is an evolution of the beeja (Seeds) Shukra (Venus) and thus both the Gurus Jupiter and Venus are responsible for this maithuni Shreesthi prevailing on this earth.

(3) But very few people know the other fact about Guru (Jupiter) being known as Jeeva and that has another great aspect in Vedic Jyotish. In Shivapurana it is written that once to meet Parmatama Shiva both the Devaguru Bristipati and Devaraja Indra went to Kailash and while on the way to Kailash Devaraja Indra saw a yogi in the state of Samadhi (Deep Trance) and then Devraja Indra asked that yogi about the Parmatma Shiva but that Yogi gave no reply even after the repeated queries from Devraja Indra. Devraja Indra took those silent actions of that Yogi as his insult and then he lost his temper and he hit the head of that Yogi by his Vajra (A weapon used by Indra).

(3.1) What was that? As soon as Devraja Indra hit the head of that yogi the countless volcanoes started appearing from the head of that yogi and then Devguru found Indra under the tides of fire emanating from the head of that Yogi.

(3.2) Then Devaguru saw Devraaja Indra by his Karunamayee drishtee (took him at a merciful glance) and that fire started growing and growing and to protect his brilliant disciple Indra that Sadguru saw that Yogi posited in the state of deep trance and he recognized that Yogi by his divine vision.

(3.3) That Yogi was Parmatma Shiva and for the protection of his brilliant disciple Indra the Sadguru (Jupiter) with folded hands was before the Mahaguru of Anantkoti Brhamsnda Shiva. What a divine scene that was!

(3.4) On account of divine prayers performed by Devaguru the Ashutosh Prabhu (A lord who pleases quickly) Shiva pleased & appeased and he then freed Indra from his divine anger.

(3.5) In that way Devguru gave Jeevan Daana (Donated new life) to Indra and that was why Devguru is also known as Jeeva.

(4) The aforesaid Katha (story) as described under (3), (3.1), (3.2), (3.4) & (3.5) indicates an astrological fact. Dear students if you concentrate on this Kaatha (story) and use your common sense you will find that Indra is the divine king and all the Navagrah from Sun to Ketu come under his dominance without him all the Navagrah become powerless and inactive (A Vedic fact) and Devguru Brihispati is the Guru of Indra who protected him from the anger of Parmatma Shiva also protected Navagrah. It clearly indicates that Planet Guru protects Navagrah including himself and thus in any horoscope if an ill disposed planet comes under the aspect of Jupiter it gets protected to give auspicious results. 

(5) Dear students if you want to get the depth of Vedic Jyotish then understand properly what has been written in Vedic literature.

“Dasha & Gochara” – an article written by Vishal Aksh


(1) On facebook a research minded budding astrologer started impressing me through his writings and ideas and that made me convinced that the future of Vedic Jyotish is safe and bright. In the article he wrote on Thursday, August 31, 2017 on Facebook he gave almost convincing reasoning about the supremacy of Transits over Dasha against the present common belief among most of the astrologers advocating Vedic Jyotish.

(2) Time to time different scholars of Indian Jyotish have put their own way about the comparison between Dasha & Gochara. The term Indian Jyotish is different from Vedic Jyotish. Vedic Jyotish has its roots in Vedas but there are other non Vedic predictive systems used in Indian from ancient and they all systems in addition to Vedic Jyotish come under Indian Jyotish. 

(3) The Raman School of thought considers Dasha as primary and Gochar as secondary.

(3.1) The Kp School of thought considers the agreement between Dasha and Gochar for an event to happen

(3.2) Parashara’s School of thought (Ancient Vedic Jyotish) never gives comparison between Dasha and Gochar in other words it dignifies both Dasha (Vinshottri, KaalChakra and Charapraya etc) as well as Gochar (Ashtakavarga System specially).  

(3.3) Still there is one School of thought which use a different concept about Dasha & Gochara and according to this School of thought the progressive period of a Planet is Dasha (Vinshottri etc) and the Antardasha in that Dasha on account of their result giving capabilities are termed as Gochar or Agochar Grah. For example in the Mahadasha of Planet A the Antardasha of Planet B if found good result giving is termed as Gochar of Planet B and if Antardasha of Planet B if found to give adverse result then the Antardasha of Planet B is termed as Agochar of Planet B. This thought is nothing but a systematic study of the results of various Antardasha in a Dasha as per Parashara where the lord of Anatardasha if found in Kaedra, trikona, third or eleventh from Lagna or Dasha Lord give good results (Gochara of Planet ruling the Antardasha) whereas if Antardasha Lord occupies second, twelfth, sixth or eight house from Lagna or Dasha Lord give adverse results (Agochar of the lord of Antardasha).

(3.4) Varaha School of thought holds Gochar always compels Dasha to give good or bad results.

(3.5) It was in year 1991 and 1992 when I studied various thoughts about timing of events through Dasha and Gochar and the effectiveness of Dasha and Gochar through self efforts but it took several years to understand that properly. In forthcoming paragraphs I shall share some fraction of the researches conducted by me concerning Dasha and Gochar.

(4) Moon appears at night and it witnesses every planet and receives light from Sun and thus it also has information about Sun. As a whole Moon has each & every information about every Planet including Sun.

(4.1) The Planets cannot be seen wandering during Day but at night the Planets can be seen wandering in the sky. The very Sanskrit term Gochar indicates wandering of Planets. Planets are seen through naked eyes in the night sky and it could be the reason that several Vedic Jyotish texts recommends Gochar to be taken from Moon.

(4.2) This Moon with all the information about Gochar enters a Nakshatra to create a Dasha and thus Dasha has information about its ruling Planet and the Gochar of Planets so in a Dasha its ruling Planet and Gochar of Planets play deterministic roles to make it result giving.

(4.3) The Gochar can influence a Dasha and compel it to reflect its (Gochar) short term decisions but Gochar never disregards the long term decision of Dasha Lord to be reflected in the entire passage of the Dasha. Dasha is stream and Gochar is ripple.

(5) Many of research minded astrologer will think that Gochar works independently and influences the earth and this earth has no Dasha like human being. If you think so then you are wrong. The entire Gochara influencing earth also comes under the strong influence of Dasha, Antardasha, Pratiantrdasha, Sookasham Dasha and Prana Dasha.

(5.1) Like Vinshottri Mahadasha of 120 Years this earth also has a life of One Kalpa of 4320000000 years

(5.2) The Vinshottri Mahadasha of 120 years is divided into nine dasha similarly one Kalpa is divided into fourteen Dasha known as Manvantra. The Nine Dasha are Sun, Moon, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Satun, Mercury, Ketu & Venus similarly Fourteen Manvantra are Swyambhav Manu, Swarochish Manu, Auottmi Manu, Taamas Manu, Revat Manu, Chakshsush manu, Vevasvet Manu, Saverni Manu, Dakshsaverni Manu, Bhramsaverni Manu, Dhramsaverni Manu, Rudraputra Manu, Rauchya Manu and Bhautyak Manu. At present the seventh Manvantra the Vevasvet Mnventra is going on. In various Vedic literature the results of every Manvantra has been described.

(5.3) Every Dasha is divided into nine Antardasha and every Manventra is divided into seventy one Chaturyugi as Antardasha. At present twenty eighth Chaturyugi is going on.

(5.4) Every Antardasha is further divided into nine Pratiantra and every Chaturyugi is further divided into the Pritiantardasha of four Yugas (1) Satyuga, (2) Treta Yuga, (3) Dwapur Yuga and (4) Kali Yuga. At present 28th Kaliyuga is going on.  

(5.5) Every Pratiantar is further divided into nine Sookashamdasha and every Yuga is divided into Years as Sookasham Dasha.

(5.6) Every Sookashama Dasha is further divided into nine Prana Dasha and every year is divided into twelve months as Prana dasha.

(5.7) The results of Yugas are given in Puranas. Whatever is happening today already exist in Vedic Purana.

(5.8) The character and strength of Planets change with Yuga and here too Gochar appears to give its results on short term basis whereas Yuga gives its results on long term basis.

“Body The Abode Of Diseases” – an article written by Vishal Aksh


(1) This article is being written for all research minded astrologers. The very first thing needed in conducting research is the philosophical understanding of that concerned subject over which the research is to be conducted.

(2) The modern pattern of research is different but I always use a simple process while conducting any research concerning Vedic Jyotish. Whenever I understand any phenomenon in terms of Planetary language and then I apply it to a number of Horoscopes and if that is found valid I try to predict on that basis and after getting successful predictions on that basis and the next very thing is to find that in Vedic sources such as Vedas, Upnishadas, Puranas, Ramayana, Mahabharta and similar Vedic Texts for its documentations. If that is found there I accept as the completion of my research work and till now I am doing that. I am sure every research minded astrologer will get necessary insights from it.

(3) “Any research conducted concerning Vedic Jyotish if not exists in Vedic sources as a reference cannot be treated a research on Vedic Jyotish even though it is result giving” – this is to be understood by every researcher of Vedic Jyotish.

(4) For the benefits of all of you in forthcoming paragraphs I will share few parts of my researches conducted relating to diseases and their occurrences as per Vedic Jyotish.

(5) It was since from my childhood whenever I heard about the spreading of any epidemic or similar cases about heart attacks on a particular day etc. every time a thought appeared in my mind that the body is an abode of diseases and no one is free from diseases.

(6) In years 1991 to 1992 when I studied various texts on Vedic Jyotish through self efforts and also judged a number of horoscopes and found that the Mahadasha of Sun in general gives one eye diseases and irregular heartbeats etc.

(6.1) Moon’s Mahadasha gives depression, cold fever, problems relating to cough and malaria etc, acidity, unknown fears, feelings of untimely death.

(6.2) The Mahadasha of Mars gives piles, anger, high fever and accidents etc, diseases related to bile and loss of good conduct etc.

(6.3) Mercury’s Mahadasha gives one problems relating to memory, headache and the sudden use of abusive language etc,

(6.4) Jupiter’s Mahadasha gives diseases relating to heart, over corpulence and hepatitis etc.

(6.5) Venus Mahadasha gives diseases relating to water, urine, eyes, eye flu, diabetes, dental diseases and frequent night discharges etc.

(6.6) Saturn’s Mahadasha gives diseases like problems relating to joints, knees, ankles, windy complaints and feeling of loneliness etc.

(6.7) Rahu’s Mahadasha gives fractures on account of accidents, windy complaints, Knee problems, dental problems and wrong judgment of diseases even by expert doctors.

(6.8) Ketu’s Mahadasha give accidents, piles, escaping from responsibilities, diseases on account of bitten by poisonous creatures such as mosquitoes and dogs etc.

(6.9) The Mahadasha of Moon, Mercury, Rahu & Ketu can also give psychic and psychological diseases.

(6.10) These observations led me to refine the statement made by me in my childhood regarding a body that the body is an abode of diseases and no one is free from diseases but it is the time that decides the nature of disease one suffers from. It was decided by me in year 1991 or in 1992.

(7) Years after years my researches on this started advancing and I found that planets in 6th, 8th and 12th houses in Shasthansh Chart (D6), Ashtmansh Chart (D8), Trishansh Chart (D30, both types) and Shyastansh Chart (D60) give diseases without fail in their concerned effective periods but I was not able to find the statement made by me about body and disease in clear manner in any Vedic literature.

(8) To understand Ayur Bhava (8th Bhava) more precisely I decided to study first part of Charak Simhata a rare text on Ayurveda through self efforts and there I found a number of terms used in Vedic Jyotish such as practical applicability of theory of Karma, functioning of brain in terms of Satvik, Rajsik and Tamsik nature and many more were dealt in detail and that helped me more to understand Vedic Jyotish but I did not find the references of my statement about body and disease in a very clear manner.

(9) It was in year 2008 when I visited Hardwar (Haridwar) with my wife, son and daughter. It was the divine insight of Parmatma Shiva and Bhagwati Parvati that unknowingly I purchased Bhavishya Purana and in one night stay in Hardwar I read that Bhavishya Purana.

(9.1) And what I found was amazing. In one of the Chapter of Bhavishya Purana there was a dialogue between Krishana Vasudeva and Krishana Dwapayana. Everyone knows about Krishana the avatara of Vishnu but few people know that in Mahabharta there were two Krishana one the lord Krishana who gave the updesa of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta to the Arjuna and other was lord Krishana Dwayapayana from whose tongue the entire Mahabharta appeared and that Krishana Dwayapayana the son of rishi Parashara (The vedic author of Vishnu Purana and Brihit Parashar Hora Shaastra) was also known as Ved Vyasa. In forthcoming Paragraph (9.2) the divine dialogues between these two lords are being described as given in Bhavishya Purana:

(9.2) Bhagwan Shrikrishana says, “O Mahamune! Please be kind to describe all the acquired knowledge of Bhojaka”

Lord Vyasa said:
अस्थिस्थूलं स्नायुयुतं मांसशोणितलेपन्।
चर्मावनद्धं दुर्गन्धिपूर्णं मूत्रपुरीषयो॥
[Asthisthulam Sanaayuyutam Maansshonitlepanam
Charmavandham Durgandhipurnam Mutrpurishyo]

जराशोकसमाविष्टं रोगायतनमातुरम्।
रजस्वलमनित्यं च भूतावासमिमं त्यजेत्॥
[Jarashoksamavistham Rogaaytanmaatrum
Rajaswalamnityam Ch Bhootaavaasamimam Tyajet]

Lord Vyasa said, “This body rests on bones, it is winded with nerves and muscles, it is filled with flesh & blood and covered by skin. The body is filled with foul smelling sludge”

Lord Vyasa further said, “The body is the abode of ripe old age, sorrows and all the diseases and they appear with time. The body contains Rajoguna etc & is short lived and it also contains the organization of five basic elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water and Ether) so there so fascination towards body should be avoided.”

(9.3) From the dialogues between two Vedic legends as described in Bhavishya Purana written in centuries ago I got the validity of my statement and research that the body is an abode of diseases and no one is free from diseases but it is the time that decides the nature of disease one suffers from.

“The Ruling Deities Of Dashmansh” – an article written by Vishal Aksh

(1) Rishi Parashar in his Shodashvarga Scheme allots presiding Vedic Devta to every division in every Divisional Chart except Rashi Chart i.e. from Hora Chart (D2) to Shyastamansh Chart (D60). For example in Hora Chart the 00⁰ to 15⁰ of any sign comes under the divine ruler ship of Devas and from 15⁰ to 30⁰ comes under the ruler ship of Pitra. The planets occupying 00⁰ to 15⁰ of any sign have the influence of Deva and those occupying 15⁰ to 30⁰ come under the influence of Pitra. In Drashkan Chart (D3) the planets occupying 00⁰ to 10⁰ of any sign come under the divine ruler ship of rishi Narada, from 10⁰ to 20⁰ of any sign come under the divine ruler ship of Rishi Agasti and from 20⁰ to 30⁰ under the ruler ship of rishi Durvasa.

(2) In Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra the great rishi only speaks about the use of Shyasthansh (D60) Devta and about the influence of the Devta of other Varga (Divisional Charts) for predictive purposes he (rishi Parashara) left it for the spiritual understandings of an astrologer    

(3) The concept of Devta of any divisional chart is too difficult for a beginner to understand. Here scientific approach to understand Vedic Jyotish in terms of Planets fails completely and spiritual approach needs to be developed to understand it. In other words it is the spiritual portion of Vedic Jyotish that can be understood by the astrologers having spiritual and karmic approaches.  

(4) An astrologer well versed in Vedas, Upnishadas, Purana, Ramayana and Mahabharta etc only can understand the use of such Devta with his spiritual approach in predictive purposes.

(5) Several years ago I saw the horoscope of an engineer in his horoscope Mercury in 5th house in Dhanu Rashi was under the influence of Shyasthansh (D60) Devta Deva Ganesha and I at once declared his devotion towards Ganesha and he accepted that with a big surprise. In fact to develop my professional approach in those years I was too devoting Shri Ganesh with a specific Mantra (I am not giving that Ganesha mantra here) and at that moment Parmatma Ganesha blessed me insight to use the concept of Devta for predictive purposes. That engineer also made the software of several Indian indoor games. It was from that incident I got the divine insight about the use of Devta of Divisional Charts. I am sure every research minded astrologer with spiritual and Karmic approach will understand it.

(6) In this article I shall share about the ruling Vedic Devta in Dashmansh Chart (D10) theoretically and that will give necessary insights to research minded astrologers having spiritual approaches.

(7) One Dashmansh is the 10th part of 30⁰ i.e. 3⁰ and there are 10 Dashmansh in a sign and 12 × 10 = 120 Dashmansh in a Zodiac.

(8) In any sign:
00⁰ to 03⁰ - First Dashmansh
03⁰ to 06⁰ - Second Dashmansh
06⁰ to 09⁰ - Third Dashmansh
09⁰ to 12⁰ - Forth Dashmansh
12⁰ to15⁰ - Fifth Dashmansh
15⁰ to 18⁰ - Sixth Dashmansh
18⁰ to 21⁰ - Seventh Drashmansh
21⁰ to 24⁰ - Eighth Dashmansh
24⁰ to 27⁰ - Ninth Dashmansh
27⁰ to 30⁰ - Tenth Dashmansh

(9)The counting of Dashmansh in Odd signs is from the sign itself. For example in Mesh Rashi Planets occupying first Dashmansh occupy the first  Dashmansh of Mesh Rashi, in second Dashmansh occupy Vrish Rashi, third Dashmansh occupy Mithuna Rashi, forth Dashmansh occupy Kark Rashi, fifth Dashmansh occupy Simh Rashi, sixth Dashmansh occupy Kanya Rashi, seventh Dashmansh occupy Tula Rashi, eighth Dashmansh occupy Vrischika Rashi, ninth Dashmansh occupy Dhanur Rashi and 10th Dashmansh occupy Makra Rashi. For Mithuna Rashi this counting should be started from Mithuna as first Dashmansh, Kark as second Dashmansh and so on. The counting of Dashmansh for other odd Signs should be done in similar way.

(9.1)The counting of Dashmansh in Even sign is from 9th sign from any even sign. For Example in Meen Rashi the first Dashmansh is the 9th sign from it i.e. Vrischika Rashi and Planets occupying first Dashmansh of Meen will be in the Dashmansh of Vrischika Rashi, second Dashmansh occupy Dhanur Rashi, in third Dashmansh occupy Makar Rashi and so on. In Vrish Rashi the even sign the Dashmansh counting starts from 9th sign from it i.e. Makar Rashi. Similar counting should be made for other even signs like Kark, Kanya, Vrischika and Makar.

(10) The following two Sanskrit Shloka is from Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra:

दिगंशया ततश्चौजे युग्मे तन्नवमाद्वदेत।
पूर्वादिदशदिक्पाला इंद्राग्नियमराक्षसाः॥६३॥
[Dignshya Tatshchoje Yugme Tannvmaadvadet
Purvaadidikpaala Indraagniraakshaa63]

वरुणोमारुतश्चैव कुबेरेशानपद्मजाः।
अनन्तश्च क्रमादोजे समे वा व्युत्क्रमेण तु॥६४॥
[Varunomaarutscheiv Kubereshaanpadamjaa
Anantsch Kramadoje Sme Vaa Vyutkramena Tu64

(10.1) The aforesaid two Sanskrit Shloka are written in almost typical Sanskrit with Sandhi in various words. For the benefits of all the research minded astrologers I am translating both of the Sanskrit Shloka by giving necessary Vicchada of Sanskrit words in forthcoming paragraphs:

(10.2) दिगंशया (Dignshya) = दिक् + अंशया (Dik + Anshya): here Dik means Directions and they are ten in numbers and Ansh stands for the parts so Digansh becomes the 10th part and here it stands for the 10th part of a sign of 30⁰ in other words 30⁰÷ 10⁰ = 3⁰ and this is the value of each Dashmansh. 

(10.3) ततश्चौजे (Tatshchoje)  = तत्(Tata) + च्(Ch) +ओजे(Oje): From there count from the sign itself in case of Oja Rashi. The Oja Rashi are all the Odd signs such as Mesh, Mithuna, Simh, Tula, Dhanur & Kumbh.

(10.4) युग्मे तन्नवमाद्वदेत (Yugme Tannvmaadvadet) = युग्मे (Yugme means Even signs), तत् (Tata) + नवमात् (Navmaat means from 9th sign) + वदेत् (Vadet means should say) and it reflects that in case of Even signs the Dashmansh Counting should be said to start from 9th sign from that even sign.

(10.5) पूर्वादिदशदिक्पाला (Purvaadidikpaala): पूर्व (Poorv means East) + आदि (Aadi means starting from)  +दश (Dash means Ten) +दिक्पाला (Dikpaala means Great Vedic defenders of Directions). It reflects that starting from the east the ten great defenders of directions are…….

(10.6) इंद्राग्नियमराक्षसाः (Indraagniyamraakshaa) = (१)इंद्र ( (1)Indra or King of Swarga) + (२)अग्नि ((2)Agni or fire) + (३) यम ((3) Yama means God of Death) + (४)राक्षस ((4)Raaksh or Devil)……

(10.7) वरुणोमारुतश्चैव (Varunomaarutscheiv) कुबेरेशानपद्मजाः(Kubereshaanpadamjaa) अनन्तश्च (Anantsch): (५) वरुण ((5) Varuna or God of water) + (६) मारुत ((6) Marut or God of wind) + च् (Ch means and), (७) कुबेर ((7) Kubera or God of wealth) (८) ईशान ((8) Ishana as per Purana Ishana is Shiva) (९) पद्मज​ ((9) Padmaj it indicates a God who appeared from Lotus means Bhrama the creator), (१०) अनन्त (Anant or endless means Vishnu)

(10.8) Summing up what has been written under (10.6) & (10.7) Ten great defenders starting from the east direction are (1) Indra, (2) Agni, (3) Yama, (4)Raaksha, (5) Varuna, (6) Maruta, (7) Kubera, (8) Ishana, (9) Padmaj & (10) Ananta.

(10.9) क्रमादोजे (Kramadoje) = क्रमात (Sequence) +ओजे (Odd Signs) it reflects that the sequence of Devta as written under (10.8) is the ruling Devta from eastern direction onwards when counting of Dashmansh is from Odd signs.

(10.10) समे वा व्युत्क्रमेण तु (Sme Vaa Vyutkramena Tu): समे (Sme means Even signs), व्युत्क्रमेण (Vyutkramena means reverse order). It reflects in case when counting of Dashmansh is done for Even Signs like Vrish, Kark, Kanya, Vrischika, Makar or Meen the order of presiding Devta will be reversed i.e. it becomes from Ananta to Indra.


(10.11) You can understand about the presiding Devta of Dashmansh through the following figure:


(11) Now for the benefits of all of you I am also giving the ten directions
(11.1) Purva (East) and its Dikpal is Indra
(11.2) Aagney (South East) its Dikpal is Agni
(11.3) Dakshin (South) its Dikpal is Yama
(11.4) Nairiti (South West) its Dikpal is Raaksha
(11.5) Paschim (West) its Dikpala is Varuna
(11.6) Vaayavya (North West) its Dikpal is Maruta
(11.7) Uttar (North) its Dikpal is Kubera
(11.8)Eshanya (North East) its Dikpal is Ishana or Shiva
(11.9) Urdhva (Upper Space) its Dikpal is Padmaj or Bhrama
(11.10) Adha (Lower Space) its Dikpal is Ananta or Vishnu.

(12) The functioning of these Ten Devta of Dashmansh is written in Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Ramayana and Mahabharata. Its only astrologers spiritual approach which works while he predicts by including these Devta.

(13) This Dashmansh Chart still has a very fertile field of research

(14) I want to make this article theoretical and that is why I am not quoting any practical case concerning this. Disclosing the secrets of functioning of a Devta (Deity) through Jyotish is not so much favored by ancient Rishi of India.

(15) A question may come to your mind that why Raaksha was given the status of Devta in Dashmansh Chart. For your benefits I am giving you its reasoning. There are eight Deva Yonis or categories of Devas as described in Puranas such as (1) Deva, (2) Daanava, (3) Gandherva, (4) Yaksha, (5)Raaksha, (6) Naaga, (7) Bhoota, and (8) Vidyadhara. The Raaksha also comes under Deva so the King of Raaksha the Nairity Deva was also given the status of Deva in Purana. The abode of these Dev Yoni is described in Vyoma (Sky) so they do not exist on earth as other creatures exist but they influence the earth by their powers and keep the controlling of earth according to their characters as described in various Purana.

Regarding Predictions

(1) Certain astrologers are of the opinion that one of the cause to the failure of predictions by any astrologer are:

(1.1) The strong remedial measures recommended by a different astrologer already performed by the client approaching him and

(1.2) When astrologer predicts in Ashudh Avastha.


(2) For the benefit of learners and researchers I am explaining the aforesaid points (1.1) & (1.2) below:

(2.1) Whatever is mentioned above under point (1.1) needs further explanation and it can be divided into two parts

(2.2) Remedies performed by a common person and

(2.2) Upasaana performed by a Sadhaka.

(2.3) In first case as written under (2.2) Horary Horoscope are useful for an astrologer to check the success of remedies recommended by different astrologer performed by the client approached him for example if astrologer finds that in the horoscope of his client approaching him first time Mercury is weak and adverse but in client's Khavedansh (D40) & Vinshansh (D20) Charts this Mercury is well disposed and comes under the aspect of Jupiter or Lord of 9th of respective divisional charts and in Horary horoscope that Mercury is found to be well disposed in terms of the main query of his client then this is an indication that that client has performed remedial measure recommended by other astrologer or a Guru and here Parmatma has given chance to that astrologer to predict about the client approaching him.

(2.4) In second case as written under (2.2) if any astrologer predicts about a Sadhaka performing upsana and without the permission of that Sadhaka then that astrologer is insulting his knowledge of Jyotisha or Astrology. In most of the cases his predictions will go wrong unless and until astrologer has more spiritual powers than that Sadhaka.

(2.5) In Sadhaanas or Upsaanas selfless approach works and the approach of Jyotish is useful to the people earning by their vritees (professions). This is very important to understand


(3) The another interesting point of this post written under (1.2) is the Ashudh Avastha and it also needs further clarification. As per Ayurveda there are three stages of Mana (Mind?) (1) Satvik (2) Rajsika and (3) Tamsika and when astrologer's mana is under tamsika influences then even though astrologer has bathed well and also performed yogic Shatkarma to pure himself the predictions made by him will not fructify because of the impurity of his mana (mind). The greatest Ashudh Avastha is only the Tamsik Mana or Impure Mind.

(3.1) If  any astrologer is running under the phase of Dhyya or Saade Saati then under such circumstances his mind representing by Moon comes under the Saturn’s Tamsik nature and with this Ashuddha Mana the predictions made by him become fruitless if he intends to do this to popularize himself. 


(4) Most of the time clients due to their greed of saving money force the astrologer to analyze their horoscopes free of cost and that astrologer predicts under compulsion and tries to stop those clients going to next door under such condition too astrologer is insulting his knowledge and thus predictions made by him will not fructify. An astrologer with Dharmic, Karmic & Spiritual approaches never comes under any compulsions


(5) There is a hidden agency which always resists the predictive abilities of an astrologer and that is Maya so no one in this world including Saadhaka too can predict even important events correctly due to the influence of that Maya. Some events easily estimated by common sense cannot be predicted by astrologer, some unexpected events are predicted by astrologer correctly and many times when astrologer tries to mix his predictive abilities with common sense even though he is not able to predict correctly all due to the influence of Maya.


(6) If you find in any astrologer's Vinshansh Chart (D20) the placement of Jupiter in 6th house then that astrologer will have to perform saadhanas and tapa to make himself fit for giving predictions because in this case he has to oppose his 6 inner enemies (1) Kaama, (2) Krodha, (3) Lobha, (4) Moha, (5) Mada & (6) Maya to make him fit for predicting the events.
