“A Shloka From खेटकौतुकम् (KhetKautakam) ” – an article written by Vishal Aksh

(1) It was Friday, July 19, 2018 when I saw someone’s Article in some Facebook Group in that the writer of that article in his post quoted a Shloka which was as follows:
यदा मुस्तरी कर्कटे व कमाने, यदा
चसमकोरा जमी आसमाने ,
तदा ज्योतिषी क्या पढ़ेगा लिखेगा, हुआ
बाल का बादशाह ही करेगा।

(2) Let me tell you all that the aforesaid Daoha written by that person in his Facebook post is somewhat wrong and for the benefit of you all here I am writing it in its true form with its meaning in forthcoming paragraphs:

(2.1) यदा मुश्तरी कर्कटे वा कमाने,
यदा चश्मकोरा भवेत मालखाने।
तदा ज्योतिषी क्या लिखेगा पढे़गा,
हुआ बालक बादशाही करेगा॥

[Yadaa Mushtri Karkate Vaa Kamane
Yadaa Chashamkaura Bhavet Maalkhane!
Tadaa Jyotishi Kaya Likhegaa Padhegaa
Huaa Baalak Baadshaahi Karegaa!!]

(2.2) Translation Of Aforesaid Shloka In English:

यदा (Yadaa, Sanskrit Word) = When

मुश्तरी (Mushtri, Persian Word) = Bristpati or Jupiter

कर्कटे (Karkate, Sanskrit Word) = Resides in Kark Rashi or Sidereal Cancer

वा (Vaa, Sanskrit Word) = Or

कमाने (Kamane, Persian Word) = Dhanush or Bow indicating Dhanur Rashi or Sidereal Sagittarius.

Meaning Of First line of First Half of Aforesaid Shloka: When Jupiter occupies Cancer or Sagittarius

यदा (Yadaa, Sanskrit Word) = When

चश्मकोरा (Chashamkaura, Persian Word) = Anyone who wears spectacles or weak sighted but here it indicates Shukra (Venus) the Guru of Demons who has only one eye as per Vedic literatures.

भवेत (Bhavet, Sanskrit Word) = appears in

मालखाने (Maalkhane) = House of Wealth or 2nd House

Meaning Of Second Line of First Half Of Aforesaid Shloka: When Venus appears in 2nd House

तदा (Tadaa, Sanskrit Word) = Then

ज्योतिषी (Jyotishi, Sanskrit Word) = Astrologer

क्या (Kaya, Hindi Word) = What

लिखेगा (Likhegaa, Hindi Word) = Will Write

पढे़गा (Padhegaa, Hindi Word) = will read

Meaning Of First line of Second Half of Aforesaid Shloka: Then what an Astrologer will write and read or write future after reading that of course from Horoscope

हुआ (Huaa, Hindi Word): here in aforesaid Shloka  its meaning is one who has born

बालक (Baalak, Sanskrit & Hindi Word) = Child

बादशाही (Baadshaahi, Urdu Word) = Ruling, Kingship

करेगा (Karegaa, Hindi Word) = Will do

Meaning Of Second line of Second Half of Aforesaid Shloka: The child born will do ruling

(2.3) If the meanings of every line of that Shloka written earlier under (2.1) are systematically arranged then the meaning of that Shloka becomes:

(2.4) When Jupiter occupies Sidereal Cancer or Sidereal Sagittarius and when Venus occupies 2nd House then and Astrologer needs not to read and write the future of that newly born Child as that newly born Child will surely do ruling or will ascend to throne.

(3) Rahim Das is known known for his inspiring dohas those he wrote in Hindi. Rahim Das was actually Abdul Rahim Khan – e - Khana one of the Navratna in the court of King Akbar. Despite being a great poet he was also a great warrior.

(4) Those who have in depth knowledge of Vedic Jyotish know that Abdul Rahim Khan – e – Khana was also a great Astrologer and he wrote two books 1) खेटकौतुकम् (KhetKautakam), 2. द्वात्रिंशद्योगावली (Dwatrimshadyogavali) based on Vedic Jyotish by taking the words from Sanskrit, Hindi, Persian and Urdu.

(5) In Year 1600 AD Abdul Rahim Khan – e – Khana wrote खेटकौतुकम् (KhetKautakam) and the Shloka described under (2.1) is from खेटकौतुकम् (KhetKautakam).

"A Note On Chalit - Chakra" - written by Vishal Aksh

Chalit-Chakra……(part 01)

(This article written by me was first published on my facebook page follow link:https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=286886978136192&id=285454581612765 to view it there)

In all the books and magazines related to Vedic astrology the Chalit-Chakra has been dealt with in some form or the other. This has been praised too. But in actual practice it is not for all particle purposes. In astrological magazines and horoscopes, astrologers draw it clearly but find it unable to use it in full and clear manner for predictions.

But what is this chalit chakra also known as Bhava Chakra? What is its use in predictive astrology? Is there any relevance in it or just it is used to attract others? And these types of many questions relating to it come in every one’s mind taking interest in Vedic astrology. The thinker or researcher of Vedic astrology when puts these questions before an expert of Vedic astrology than so called experts either does not pay his attention to these questions or deviate that person by giving baseless reasons. The reason behind the baseless reasoning by these so called experts is simple that they are totally ignorant about Chalit-Chakra.

In my years of experiences in the field of Vedic astrology I paid my attention on this Chalit-Chakra, most of the times this did wonder and time to time its functioning was checked and researched. At last the validity of Chalit-Chakra proved and it was observed that in Vedic astrology it will be a big mistake to ignore Chalit-Chakra.

Now let us discuss in brief about Chalit-Chakra. Mathematically a Bhava starts from aarambh sandhi (starting point) and extends up to viram sandhi (resting point) and in between these two sandhi, there is the strongest point of a Bhava known as Bhava Madhya. The sign in which this Bhava Madhya appears the planet ruling that sign is the lord of that Bhava. Sometimes two Bhava Madhya appear in single sign than in that condition single planet becomes the ruler of two bhava and sometimes no Bhava Madhya exists in a sign than in that case that planet looses the lordship over that Bhava.

The planets with lesser degrees than aarambh sandhi moves to previous Bhava and planets with greater degrees than viram sandhi moves to next Bhava. Despite it there are many more questions that appear in one’s mind while analyzing Chalit-Chakra e.g. planets situated in single sign move to previous and next Bhava, planets in single sign move to same Bhava, In rashi the planet receiving aspect from one planet looses receiving the aspect of that planet when it moves to either previous Bhava or next Bhava, in rashi chart any planet does not receive aspect from other planet but in Chalit-Chakra this planets comes under the aspect of other planet and many more such questions about Chalit-Chakra appear in one’s mind.

Sometimes it was also observed that Chalit-Chakra stops giving its results and Rashi Chart becomes powerful to give results under certain conditions.

Before going into such deep prospects of Chalit-Chakra it will be good to understand its usages in Vedic astrology.

Generally Chalit-Chakra is used in the following spheres in Vedic astrology:

(1) It is used in natal horoscopes
(2) It is used in Varshphal to predict about a year
(3) It is used in Maasphal to predict about Month
(4) It is used in Dashaprevesh to predict the results of Dasha / antardasha
(5) It is used in horary horoscope to predict the results.
Before discussing the utility of chalit chakra it is essential to understand it properly. The Chalit is a Sanskrit word which means moving from one point to other. In Rashi Chart the planets present in various signs move either in previous Bhava or in next Bhava and because of this moving this chart is known as Chalit-Chakra.

Chalit-Chakra……(part 02)

(This article written by me was published on Thursday, March 13, 2014 on my facebook page. Follow link: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=287788951379328&id=285454581612765 to view it there.)

To understand Chalit-Chakra logically it should be assumed that a person by the effects of planets in his Chalit-Chakra approaches to an astrologer or calls in the astrologer then in that situation with respect to astrologer there is the movement of that person by the effects of planets in his Chalit-Chakra and in either of these cases this is the first use of Chalit-Chakra.

For example the person approaching to an astrologer may be of different age groups:

(1) The person approaching to an astrologer is up to 25 years of age group

(2) The person approaching to an astrologer is between 25years to 36 years of age group

(3) The person approaching to an astrologer is between 36years to 60 years of age group

(4) The person approaching to an astrologer is above 60 years of age group

Suppose a person up to 25 years of age group approaches an astrologer to get his horoscope analyzed and in his horoscope the lord of mahadasha / antardasha moves from 6th house to 5th bhava in Chalit-Chakra then the astrologer should understand that the person approaching has a question relating to his education.

When the person approaching to an astrologer is between 25 years to 36 years of age group and in his horoscope the lord of mahadasha / antardasha moves from 6th house to 5th bhava in Chalit-Chakra then the astrologer should understand that the person approaching has a question relating to the child birth in general.

When the person approaching to an astrologer is between 36years to 60 years of age group and in his horoscope the lord of mahadasha / antardasha moves from 6th house to 5th bhava in Chalit-Chakra then the astrologer should understand that the person approaching has a question relating to the education of his child / children in general.

When the person above 60 years of age group approaches an astrologer to get his horoscope analyzed and in his horoscope the lord of mahadasha / antardasha moves from 6th house to 5th bhava in Chalit-Chakra then the astrologer should understand that the person approaching has a question relating to employment or alliance of his child / children.

The other Bhavas should also be considered in similar way.The successes or failures of these types of questions also depend on the transit of Jupiter for successes and transit of Saturn for failures in general.

Sometimes the transit of Jupiter is just enough to give successes / failures of the questions. Jupiter transiting the exaltation sign of antardasha lord in any horoscope gives successes and its transit in debilitation sign of antardasha lord gives failures.

All the creatures in this world attract toward abhava. The abhava is a Sanskrit and Hindi word and it means deficiency. A poor has abhava of money in his life so he gets attracted towards money, a rich person has abhava of mental peace so he gets attracted towards mental peace and in the similar way a teenagers get attracted towards opposite sex.

Thus in this abhavapurna life everybody struggles to fulfill abhava and theses fulfillment of abhava express themselves through his facial expressions e.g. the attraction of teenagers towards opposite sex shows their abhava towards opposite sex and with this effect the teenagers start searching the company of opposite sex and as soon as they get this they get bhava of santhusthi (Satisfaction)

In the similar fashion the position of planets in one’s horoscope creates the abhava in all the directions and with the effect these planets in one’s horoscope motivates that person to approach an astrologer and the learned astrologer predicts the karmaphala of that person approaching him on the basis of Chalit-Chakra position of planets.

This Chalit-Chakra in anyone’s horoscope thus becomes helpful in removing abhava by making one’s life bhavapurna and that is why Chalit-Chakra is also known as Bhava Chakra.

The learned astrologer amazingly predicts on the basis of one’s Chalit-Chakra only when the person approaching him first time but when such client by the fructification of the prediction of the astrologer starts visiting him repeatedly then most of the times it becomes impossible for an astrologer to predict merely on the basis of Chalit-Chakra and then the astrologer should include other technique to predict on the basis of Chalit-Chakra.

Chalit-Chakra……(part 03)

(This article written by me was first published on Friday, March 21, 2014 on my facebook page. Follow link:https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=290778067747083&id=285454581612765 to view it there)

In this context The Rashi Chart & Chalit-Chakra along with Mahadasha described in Example: 01 given below is of a female native whose horoscope was analyzed on 26th March 2003:
Example: 01:
Rashi Chart: (1) Lagna: Simh, (2) Moon: Kanya, (3) Saturn: Tula, (4) Sun, Mercury & Ketu: Vrischika, (5) Jupiter & Venus: Dhanur, (6) Mars: Makar, (7) Rahu: Vrish.
Chalit-Chakra: (1) Lagna Bhava: Moon, (2) Third Bhava: Sun, Mercury, Saturn & Ketu, (3) Forth Bhava: Jupiter & Venus, (4) Fifth Bhava: Mars, (5) Ninth Bhava: Rahu.
Mahadasha Details: Mars: from 01st May 1996 to 01st May 2003

(1.1) In above horoscope the exalted Mahadasha lord Mars moved to 5th Bhava from 6th house and at the time of analyzing of her horoscope she was of 18 years of age that means she came under group 01 of 25 years of age group and that means her question be related to her education.

(1.2) In her horoscope the Mahadasha lord Mars is the lord of 4th Bhava representing her mother and 9th bhava representing her father indicate she came along with her father and her mother.

(1.3) If the indications described in (1.1) and (1.2) are combined then it becomes clear that she came along with her mother and her father to know the future about her studies.

(1.4) At the time of the analysis of her horoscope the Mahadasha lord Mars was transiting 5th house in her horoscope and this Mars being the lord of 9th bhava also acts as Badhaka planet. In transit Moon ruling her mind was in Dhanur rashi in 5th house of her Rashi Chart.

(1.5) From about 06th July 2002 to about 29th July 2003 Jupiter transited Kark rashi i.e. the debilitation sign of her Mahadasha lord Mars adversely affecting 5th Bhava indications of her Chalit-Chakra.

(1.6) Combining (1.3), (1.4) & (1.5) the picture about her became clearer i.e. at that time she was having problems in her study with effect from 06th July 2002 onwards and she also wanted to know future about her studies.

(1.7) After analyzing her Rashi Chart and Chalit-Chakra minutely I asked her if she was having adverse phase in her studies after 06th July onwards and it was the only question she was having in her mind. Then she replied surprisingly in a way favoring what I had said about her after analyzing her horoscope and she was not able to clear some of her papers after 06th July 2002.

(1.8) In her horoscope Rahu Mahadasha was going to start from 01st May 2003 and in her Chalit-Chakra exalted Rahu moved to 9th Bhava from 10th house. In any horoscope 9th Bhava also signifies work hard for education and considering this I predicted her academic betterment and her line of education in professional course in her Rahu Mahadasha.

This is the way how one can use Chalit-Chakra at initial level. As I have written in previous article Chalit-Chakra…. (part 01) that the sign in which this Bhava Madhya appears the planet ruling that sign is the lord of that Bhava. Sometimes two Bhava Madhya appear in single sign than in that condition single planet becomes the ruler of two bhava and sometimes no Bhava Madhya exists in a sign than in that case that planet loses the lordship over that Bhava and this is the most confusing thing while dealing with Chalit-Chakra and this is perhaps the main reason why astrologers ignore this wonderful Chalit-Chakra while predicting.

In the articles based on Chalit-Chakra I have used the word house to denote Rashi Chart position of planets and rashi while counting from Lagna rashi and Bhava to denote Chalit-Chakra position of planets and rashi while counting from Lagna Bhava.

Some Guidelines On Avasthas Of Planets By Vishal Aksh

Balyaadi Avasthas Of Planets By Vishal Aksh

(This Article written by me was first published on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 04:29 (IST) in my Facebook Public Group. Follow link:https://www.facebook.com/notes/vedic-jyotish-world-of-vishal-aksh/avasthas-of-planets/315686565280203/ to view it there)

In ancient texts on Vedic astrology mainly 96 avsthas of planets had been dealt with and out of them is Balyaadi avasthas and if these avasthas of planets are taken into consideration then the analysis of any horoscope will become meaningful.
There are 5 types of Balyaadi avasthas of Planets when any planet / planets in odd sign in one's horoscope:

(1) Baal Avastha (0 to 06 degrees)

(2) Kumar Avastha (06 to 12 degrees)

(3) Yuva Avastha (12 to 18 degrees)

(4) Vriddh Avastha (18 to 24 degrees)

(5) Mrit Avastha (24 to 30 degrees)

But when the planet / planets in one's horoscope occupies even signs then the pattern of Avastha became reversed:

(1) Baal Avastha (24 to 30 degrees)

(2) Kumar Avastha (24 to 18 degrees)

(3) Yuva Avastha (18 to 12 degrees)

(4) Vriddh Avastha (12 to 06 degrees)

(5) Mrit Avastha ( 06 to 0 degrees)

If the pattern of aforesaid Balyaadi avasthas are compared for planets occupying odd and even signs in one's horoscope then it is understood that planet / planets occupying 12 to 18 degrees either in odd / even signs are in Yuva avastha and most effective.

Now a big question appears how to use this concept of Avasthas?

If you find in any horoscope a planet very well developed in Dashmansh chart but occupying Vriddh avstha in main chart will not give results pertaining to profession in full measures but of it occupies yuvaavastha in main chart then it will give results pertaining to his profession in full measures in its dasha / antardasha.

But if avastha based at the division of a sign in 3 parts are taken into consideration then it is said to be Jagraataadi avastha and they are as follows:

When in any horoscope planet / planets occupying Odd sign:

(1) 0 to 10 degrees : Jagraat avastha

(2) 10 to 20 degrees : Swapana Avastha

(3) 20 to 30 degrees: Sushupti Avastha

And when in any horoscope planet / planets occupying even sign then this pattern becomes reverse in order:

(1) 30 to 20 degrees : Jaagrat Avastha

(2) 20 to 10 degrees : Swapan Avastha

(3)10 to 0 degrees :Sushupti Avastha

The concept this Jagraati avastha is applied to know the success and failure of one's efforts in any directions. To get success without efforts is different from to get success with temporal effects.

Pending promotions are different from preparation and getting success in competition.

The aforesaid concept of Jagraatadi avastha is applied to know the success in attempts to clear exams, to win games and so on

Jagratadi Avastha Vs Deeptadi Avastha By Vishal Aksh
(This Article written by me was published in my Facebook Public Group on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 17:47 (IST). Follow link:https://www.facebook.com/notes/vedic-jyotish-world-of-vishal-aksh/jagratadi-avastha-vs-deeptadi-avastha/316415895207270/ to view it there)

In the comments section of my previous post “Avasthas Of Planets”, someone wrote “Jagraatadi avastha is based on dignity, no? In Cp. 24 of BPHS the definition of Jagraatadi avastha is:1.Awakening, 2. Dreaming and 3. Sleeping States. If a Grah is in its own Rāśi, or in exaltation, it is said to be in a state of awakening (alertness). In the Rāśi of a friend, or of a neutral it is in dreaming state, while in an enemy’s Rāśi, or in debilitation it is in a state of sleeping.

According to a Grah, being in Awakening, Dreaming, or Sleeping states, the results, due to it will be full, medium, or nil.”

Now I am writing in this post the answer of the question raised by that person about Jagratadi Avasthas of Planets:

(1)   If you think logically you will find a planet in exaltation is different from a planet in its own sign, a planet in its debilitation sign is different from a planet in its enemy’s sign in giving its results and similarly a planet in its friend’s sign is different from a planet in its neutral sign. Different results are allotted to a planet occupying (1)Its exaltation sign, (2) Its own sign, (3) Its friend’s sign and (4) Its enemy sign.

(2)   But a planet in its debilitation sign is supposed to give two types of results (1) totally adverse results (2) The results of its exaltation sign if it gets cancellation of debilitation.

(3)   Keeping this in view the ancient Indian rishi designed the Avasthas of Planets and these Avasthas of Planets were so well designed by those Indian rishi that they are also used to understand many of the hidden secrets of Vedic astrology.

(4)   When you look at what is written under (1) & (2) you will find the categorization of Jagrratadi avasthas of planets as defined by him does not fit on it so there is something wrong in it.

(5)   I do not say that he is wrong but as I always used to say that whatever we know about Vedic astrology is from Vedic classical astrology written in Sanskrit and while translating from Sanskrit shloka to Hind, English or any language in the world the translators or commentators generally do err due to their (1) ignorance in understanding the inner meaning of Sanskrit word (2) the era of any powerful astrologer is going on at the time of translating the Sanskrit work to different languages. For example up to year 2000 the era of Dr. B. V. Raman was going on in Vedic astrology and he gave more importance to Navansh chart and that is why in that era the Sanskrit word Ansh had been translated as Navansh otherwise the the Sanskrit word Ansh represents Shodash Varga (16 divisional charts) and (3) Translator or Commentator may have his own views. So the definition of Jagratadi avasthas of planets as given by him is nothing but such type of an err done by that translator of Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra from which he has read that type of definition about jagratadi avasthas of planets.

(6)   In Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra the following Sanskrit shloka has been written:

त्रयंशादंशं त्रिभागं चकल्पयित्वा पृथक पृथक ॥१॥

In Englishscript the above Sanskrit shloka may be written as:

TryanshadanshamTrebhagam Ch Kalpyetvaa  Prithak Prithak!! 1 !!

Meaning Of Above Sanskrit Shloka: Imagine three parts of thirty degrees !! 1 !!

(6.1)The second Sanskrit shloka is:

विषमादिक्रमेणैव समे वै विपरीतकम ॥२॥

The above Sanskrit shloka in English script may be written  as:

Vishmaadekrmenaeva Samae vaee Vipreetkm !! 2 !!

Meaning Of Above Shloka: In odd signs the Jagratadi avsthas is according to order and in even signs there is reverse order !! 2 !!. This type of Avastha is made cleared in next shloka:

(6.2) The next Sanskrit Shloka in this context is as follows:

विज्ञाय प्रथमं पुंसां जाग्रत्स्वप्नसुषुप्तिका ॥३॥

The above Sanskrit shloka in English script may be writtenas:

Vigyaya Prathmam Punsaam Jagratswpansushuptika !! 3 !!

Meaning Of Above Sanskrit Shloka: Everyone must know the Jagrat Avastha (State of Awakening), Swapna Avstha (State of Dreaming) & Sushuptika Avastha (State of Sleeping) first.

(6.3)Combining Sanskrit Shloka !!2 !! & !! 3 !! it becomes clear that:

When in any horoscope planet / planets occupying Odd sign:

(1) 00 to 10 degrees: Jagraat avastha

(2) 10 to 20 degrees: Swapana Avastha

(3) 20 to 30 degrees: Sushupti Avastha

And when in any horoscope planet / planets occupying even sign then this pattern becomes reverse in order:

(1) 30 to 20 degrees: Jaagrat Avastha

(2) 20 to 10 degrees: Swapan Avastha

(3) 10 to 00 degrees: Sushupti Avastha

(7)   Planet / Planets in Jagrat Avastha (State of Awakening) give success in works

(7.1)Planet / Planets in SwapanAvastha (State of Dreaming) give less success in works

(7.2) Planet / Planets in Sushupti Avastha (State of Sleeping) give no results

(8) If point (6.3) is looked at carefully everyone can understand that Planet / Planets irrespective of odd or even sign they occupy will be under state of dreaming within ten degree to twenty degrees.

(9) Here exists the greatest confusion this is distribution pattern of three equal parts of a sign of thirty degrees also fits on Draskan Chart and in that chart:

(9.1) In every sign from 00 to 10 degrees: Sun, Mars & Jupiter get strength

(9.2) In every sign from 10 to 20 degrees: Mercury & Saturn get strength

(9.3) In every sign from 20 to 30 degrees Moon & Venus get strength.

(9.4) Everyone can see Avastha model & Drashkan Model give opposite results. For example if in any horoscope Saturn is in 10 to 20 degrees of any sign here it becomes powerful by gaining Drashkan strength and weak by occupying Swapan Avastha(State of Dreaming) and there may be similar confusions in this context and perhaps keeping this in eyes several commentators or translators did err while translating this Jagratadi Avastha of Planets from Sanskrit to any other language.

(9.5) The main purpose of this Jagratadi Avastha to know the results of success and failures in any works and the purpose of drashkana bala is to know the prosperous periods and it does not mean the success of any desired work may occur only in prosperous periods. One may get success in completion but it does not mean he is enjoying prosperous period.

(10) The Avastha based on the planets occupying their exaltation or their own sign etc is known as Deeptadi Avastha and they are nine in number. They are as follows:

(10.1) Deepth Avastha: Planet / Planets occupying their exaltation sign are said to possess Deepth Avastha and the dasha of such planets give one Landlord ship, enthusiasm, courage, wealth, property, vehicles, respect & fame.

(10.2) Swasth Avastha: Planet / Planets occupying their own signs are said to possess Swasth Avastha. Such planets occupying this Swasth Awastha in their Dasha give sound health, recognition from rulers, wealth, education, fame & lands.

(10.3) Mudit Avastha: Planet / Planets occupying signs of their intimate friend are said to possess Mudit Avastha. The dasha of such planets give one beautiful cloths, pilgrimage, hearing of Vedic texts & vehicles.

(10.4) Shant Avastha: Planet / Planets occupying the signs of their friends are said to possess Shant Avastha. The dasha of such planets give one comforts, religiousness, lands & vehicles.

(10.5) Deena Avastha: Planet / Planets occupying the signs of their neutral planets are said to possess Deena Avastha. The dasha of such planets give one set – back in career, oppositions from one’s relatives, earning from low livelihood, social boycott and diseases in various forms.

(10.6) Dukhi Avastha: Planet / Planets occupying the signs of their enemies are said to possess Dukhi Avastha. This dasha give various pains, foreign travel, deep sufferings on account of relatives, troubles from thieves, troubles from fire & troubles from king.

(10.7) Vikal Avastha: The plane / Planets in conjunction with an inauspicious planet are said to possess Vikal Avastha. These dasha of planets give mental troubles, acute pains, sufferings on account of deaths of one’s relatives, fear from thieves and diseases in various forms.

(10.8) Khala Avastha: The planet / Planets in conjunction with most inauspicious planets are said to possess Khala Avastha. These dasha give clashes, mental troubles in acute forms, sufferings to one’s parents, wasteful expenditures, loss of lands and defamation.

(10.9) Kopa Avastha: Planets / Planets in deep conjunction with Sun are said to possess Kopa Avastha. These dasha give one various pains, loss of wealth, sufferings to one’s relatives and he also suffers from the diseases of eyes.

(11) In Vedic astrology the concept of Avasthas of Planet appear to be confusing but in reality it is unique concept and when it is seriously applied it give not only amazing results but also indicate new lines of research. Astrologers having experience of many years in the field of Vedic astrology can understand this.
