A beginner of Vedic jyotish knows that Moon also acts as Lagna and if it is in the eighth house or the most inauspicious house then it indicates danger to the Lagna or the physical body.

Basically the eight house indicates longevity and thus this house is also known as house of longevity and house of death also. Death is unpredictable and thus becomes the greatest mystery so this eighth house is also known as house of mystery.

At night the Moon also acts as a torch to locate the ways and other things prevailing on this earth so if it is present in the eight house it should be helpful to locate the hidden things of life miseries, gains, philosophy and attainments.

If anyone having Moon in the eighth house doesn’t make himself capable of using the qualities of Moon then he gets troubles on account of hidden things of life. So the depression results.

4. If an afflicted Moon occupies the debilitating sign in the eighth house in a nativity then it indicates fear from a woman.
5. If an afflicted Moon occupies debilitated navansh by occupying the eighth house in a nativity then it indicates sufferings on account of bile or coph. Befitting the conditions of modern time it can also indicate suffering from corona disease.
6. If an afflicted Moon occupies the shadvarga of the signs owned by natural malefic planets by occupying the eighth house in a nativity then it indicates the diseases on account of the disturbances of the three humors. It can also indicate suffering from corona disease nowadays.
7. If an afflicted Moon occupies its friendly sign by occupying the eighth house in a nativity then it indicates the diseases relating to the stomach.
8. If an afflicted Moon occupies its friendly navansh by occupying the eighth house in a nativity then it indicates the diseases relating to th anus.
