In Sanskrit no meaning of Gulika is found but its near about
Sanskrit word: “Kulika” exists in Sanskrit which is one of the Sarpa of twelve great Sarpa
and if it so then the calculation of Gulika (Considering it Kulika) reflects
Rahu in some form as per the dictum Shanivat Rahu. Maandi appears to be derived
from Sanskrit word “Manda” used to indicates Saturn as Saturn appears to move
very slowly (Manda Chaal or with slow speed) and so Maandi should reflect the
longest transitory phase of Saturn in some form and this is the basis of my
researches.
